I know this is a bit late. However, better late than never! LOL!
Here are the major highlights as I observed during the Old Palm Harbor Bike fest. Read on to get the full list.
Thanks to Tarpon Kmart for use of their parking lot for registration and ride organization
- Thanks to the Italian Angels and the Diva Angels for playing an active role in the registration and organization of the ride
- How long was the ride? Approximately 40 minutes
- How many people in the ride? approximately 200+
- People who did not participate in the ride dropped off new toys as donations during registration
- Thanks to the Tarpon Springs police for traffic control during this event
- The ride went through the Fred Howard Park as the turn around point then onto the final destination in downtown Palm Harbor
- After we reached our destination, we preceded to drop-off the toys at the Toys for Tots Marine truck near the main stage of the bikefest.
- There were two marines back from a tour of duty in Iraq helping with collection of toys after the ride

Bikefest activities and scenery
- The festivities kicked off around 1pm
- The businesses were welcoming and warm
- There were bands High Tides and Red Hawk played various genres of music, mostly rock from the 70's to the 80's
- Plenty of food and beverages
- The Born to Ride dream team and Radical Randy as the master of ceremonies kept the party going into the night.
- Various vendors and motorcycle enthusiast groups were camped out in their booths
- The Diva Angels played an active role in the Bikefest by volunteering at designated service areas of the festival. (ie; the drink ticket booth and beer stand)
- Once again, they also got more people to sign Christmas cards for the troops in Iraq, which will be filled with phone cards and sent off by the VFW of Pasco.
- EWD, a Florida bike builder was also there raffling off one of their creations for charity
- A bike contest for various class motorcycles was judged and announced later in the day or should I say evening. Nobody entered into the Christmas theme class so the person with a green bike was awarded 2nd place for that class and another entrant with a red bike got 1st place in the Xmas class. All trophies were provided by EWD.
- The BEST deal at the fest was the Gold Rush Soda $5.00 stainless steel cup you when buy for your choice of six olde time flavors and FREE refills! My favorites were the Olde time Root beer and Dark Birch Beer.
